Soaked peach gum overnight and you will notice it expanding to very big size. Good grade peach gum will expand a lot and has very little trance of impurities. It saves you a lot of time and trouble to clean it. it also reduces a lot of wastage. Many agreed that our peach gum can just soak and cook, don’t have to pick out those dirt.

There are many ways to enjoy it. Commonly is to boil ''tong sui'' (糖水). You can also use them to boil delicious and nutritious soup and make all kinds of dessert. Some use to make kerabu as well.

Good grade peach gum is harvested during its peak season which allows for it to mature hence increases the nutrition.

Cooking Instruction (approx 5 pax):
  • 100 gm Peach Gum 
  • 8pcs Red Dates (small) - seed removed
  • 2pcs Red Dates (Big) - seed removed
  • 15g Dried Longan
  • 1L Water 
  • Rock Sugar to taste

Cover & double-boiled for 1 hr 30 mins. Add in rock sugar during the last 15 minutes. Off fire. Add in peach gum and cover the pot for 5 mins. Boiling too long will cause the peach gum to melt into the soup & you will have a pot of glue (thick soup).
Serve hot/ warm or chilled. I love it when it's chilled. So refreshing & yummy. 

Pregnant ladies & children below 2 yo are not advisable to consume

The ration of water with peach gum is 1:10 as this is a good one. It’s thick so need more water, soak overnight and drain off the water by using a strainer.

Storage: Keep in a cool dry place. Good up to 12 months
